Solid design.
Logical navigation.

i wouldn't use a button for the description, and not on that spot, too much mouse miles, i would do it as a rollover on a photo or something else which makes more sense and is more usable.

did you REALLY added the rounded corners of the photographs in photoshop?
poor poor you.
every time the photographer want to add a picture someone has to add rounded corners.
automate in Flash!

other details:
if you have a rounded corner IN a rounded corner, the inner has always a smaller radius.
try it.and the top bar with the navigation looks to high for me, i need that space at the bottom to view everything.
i like the menu. is it dynamic?

small details but i would make the menu background slide, rather than just switch, make the images have semi translucent backgrounds in the colour you want and then slide a white box behind them to create the same effect that you have as far as colours, but with a transition
