i found i have learned which clients are a pleasure to work with and which are always a pain in the arse.
In my mind i have sorted them into groups.
but am i prejudiced? it feels good....and bad at the same time.
am i alone with this?
- chossy0
no you are not alone all you have done is quantify, I have groups arranged aswell.

hahaha - thats totally natural - if a client is a cunt - theres no use pretending he or she are a pleasure to work with is there!
I currently have 3 awesome clients that are a joy to work with - get me thigns on time and are so receptive to the things I suggest -and one client who makes me want to stick glass shards in my eyes but his utter belligerence and non-understanding of anything to do with the web.
The kind of twat that asks you to fax him a website.

...i once had a client ring up and his opening line was this;
"When I open our website in Word..."
I simply pictured the cosmos being sucked into a huge black oblivion and his ignorance was such a monster it was the only thing to survive and so it was just that for ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.

Well, like a whore; some are a joy to work with and some make you take it up the ass.
- -sputnik-0
so what are the two groups, dutchie?
- jevad0
hahahaha @ moth
- jpea0
you're not alone
i categorize the agencies at the more annoying ones usually cause they might be the pickiest ones (not that this is bad, but it just takes up a ton of time). the ones who don't understand your biz can be talked down from the ledge;-)(or pushed off)
- jevad0
I also charge annoying clients more
the clients i like I often do things for free
- pooch0
well the website's only going to cost you about 2,800 but if you keep up the ass face attitude it's going to be about 5,000.
- versa0
its all in the padding really
pita clients pay more.....
- -sputnik-0
i have been known to double (and in one instance, triple) my fee for a crappy client. i basically wanted to discourage them and make them go away, & i figured that if they decided to work with me i'd at least get compensated for the PITA factor.
it didn't fail...i ended up having to work with them, and after the crap they put me through the triple fee almost made it worth the trouble.
- jevad0
exactly marina - if it's going to be twice the work - why not charge twice the rate....
- DutchBoy0
sorry for being a pain in the ass here but what is a pita
- chossy0

- DutchBoy0

- jevad0
"sorry for being a pain in the ass here but what is a pita"
