the car adaptor is better than the iTrip
i have something similar to the iTrip and its such a pain on long trips because it cuts in and out all the time, depending on local interference. i had a casette adaptor that was great until my player broke

yea, if you're only gonna use it for car you could get the car adaptor. if you want it for other purpuses such as playing your tunes in your stereo system wireless mode, get the iTrip.

I just got a cassette adapter. Works perfectly.
A few friends have had bad experiences with FM transmitters so I stayed away. (they all ended up getting cassette or direct link fitted in the end)

I use a cassette adatpter too (Belkin). Damn thing wouldn't work at first, kept triggering the auto-play function on the car stereo every few seconds.
Turns out they are full of cogs that are completely useless, take them out and it works fine.
Thinking about getting the iTrip though?

I have both (UK) and I always use the cassette adaptor (£7 Argos) as its quality is constant and doesn't eat the battery.
