I turned it off after the b-hop rerun.

ya' think that pound-for-pound stuff we've heard about him for the last ten or so years was just cause there wasn't anyone any good in his weight class? hmmm ...

I don't know if I agree with that. He has been a really good tough fighter for 16 years. I think he just doesn't have the spark anymore.
I thought he was dead for a moment tonight though. He hit the canvas hard.
Hello HBO announcer job.

that keeping your left hand down stylie doesn't cut it when you're 35. I just saw the replay - holy shit. he's lucky to be alive.

It was a lot like the other punch that got him....but got him on the temple more....I thought he was dead the way he went to the floor.

what punch are you talking about thinkmule? wasn't the other shot that put him on his ass to the side of his rib / abdomen area?

No. Tarver got him in the head too. Maybe you are thinking of the punch that knocked De La Hoya out last weekend. That was to the ribs.

Nope, he got a gab to the chin and then a left hook over the top to the temple...didn't see it coiming....bam....have a seat ringside.
de la hoya took the body shot knock out.....

Yeah, Roy Jones should retire, his best skill was the ability to "not get hit" now that those days are over he needs to call it quits. I will miss watching him fight, he one of the greats of all time.
De La Hoya on the other hand is not finished, I think he just got caught with a bad shot. I think we'll see him win again.

ohhhhh yeah i was thinking of de lay hoya. maybe i took one too many to the head too...
i love boxing!

Man, I didn't even know Roy was fighting last night. I've become sort of dis-enchanted with boxing over the last 5 years. That sucks he went out like that. It was great watching him back in the day, devastating Toney and Pazienza... oh, the great have to fall sometime.
