Ok. I bought TrueType 2 the other day, to edit a font I have to bring it into line with my companies' needs.
Trouble is, when I export the edited letters from Illustrator as outlines, they don't match the dimensions of the actual font in TrueType.
If I edit in Freehand and Export them, it's ok. But I fricking hate Freehand.
If I export from Illustrator into Freehand, and re export as an EPS, all the curves go hoopy and I'm no clearer to an answer.
Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone able to assist?

I'm a stupid stoned bastard - I don't mean "TrueType 2" at all, I mean "Type Tool 2" from FontLab.
Gahk.

aare you making it into a font file then using it in illustrator?

I'm converting a font's letters to curves within Illustrator, editing them, then exporting as eps', to import into individual letters within TypeTool 2.

Ok. This was just a lot more involved than I had first supposed. If anyone else faces this problem, they can find a solution at: http://groups.msn.com/fontlab/ti… .
It's simply a question of laying out the files properly in Illustrator before copying/importing them into TypeTool.
= A lot more work. Oh well!
