I use a Mac and am trying to get my contacts into my Palm. I exported my contacts as a txt file, uploaded it to my server, downloaded it to a PC and tried to import it into Outlook. Outlook in Windows XP won't recognize the txt file.
Any suggestions? Mr. Paperclip is predictably useless.

why are u exporting as a txt file. export it as a vcard isn't that universal standard?

I tried vcards too. No luck. Outlook on the PC won't recognize the file.

Thanks for the immediate response, but vcards from a Mac are not being recognized in Outlook on the PC.

FOR GOD"S SAKE STOP and step away from the machine!
Why are you exporting...you should be synching..it's the whole point of these Palm thingys. Go get the appropriate conduit for your software (Entourage, Address book, iSync, whatever), and set it up to synch to the Palm either one way or in both directions. You can have multiple synchs going on thru different setups, you can have scheduled synching etc...
I have 3 Macs and a bluetooth phone synched through iSync/.Mac, and then the Entourage conduit setup to synch with the Palm, and the Palm can also join in the .Mac synching as well if I switch conduits.

OK, I stepped away from the PC and stuck to my Mac. I downloaded Missing Sync for Palm OS and actually got a connection to my phone. Now, I need a conduit for Entourage that supposedly comes with Microsoft Office. I can't find a thing.
I would ???????

This is what I use:

to sync my palm but there's no mac involved when I do it.This program really should be a standard part of office btw.

I just downloaded QueueSync for syncing my Palm phone to Entourage. I installed the QueueSync Contacts. Every time I try to sync the phone, I get a sync error.
Do you think this is a problem with the phone or with the software? I'm new at everything with this and suffering serious buyer's regret with this phone.
