How would you connect to an existing Airport Extreme network from a PC desktop model, running Windows XP?
I'm not getting much help from Windows Help and I'm very inexperienced with PCs.

There should be a Wireless LAN icon in your task bar...it should list avalilable WiFi networks...You may need to click on it and get Properties or something...

and I think you'll need to run the Airport Express installer CD to add the Airtunes bits to iTunes if you want to have your stereo appear in the output choices in iTunes.

I've done all that for my Mac. I just want the PC to connect to the existing Mac network I set up already.

I fit's just for internet access and connecting to other computers on the LAN, it's just the same as connecting to a Wi-Fi hotspot... look for th enetwork in the Avaiable Networks list, choose 'automatic' or DHCP in you Internet Options...
Make sure you have 'Broadcast SSID' on in the Airport setup so your PC can see the network name, and turn off encryption until you have got the basics working...

and go thru the Airport Help...it'll have a section on how other computers can join the network...

Is it possible this PC (about a year old) doesn't have the capability to pick up a wireless signal?
I can't find any kind of wireless network under networks, my network places, etc.

errr...you should know if you have a wireless card or not... read the manual, look at your invoices...
or check in your Control Panel to see what devices are present in the Networking section (Wireless , ethernet, PCI cards , PC cards etc)... They should show up there even if they dont work.
