over the weekend i looked at my site on a pc and the pngs came up as big ugly white squares. WHAT IN HELL? is there anything i can do about this?

yeah you can set your background to transparent, lol. ;)

but seriously just set your bg to transparent in Save for Web if you're using PhotoShop or Illy.

actually, I think this is a PC Internet Explorer bug. Not sure if it's been sorted out yet

ah right ok. ah well, sod em.

hmmmmmm? don't fink so, how are you putting them in? Flash or just in HTML?
- Blofeldt0
PNG's in flash are fine. If you're trying to use the bg=clear thingy, it only works/ed on IE on a PC. Putting the PNG's straight on the page in HTML used to bring up the nasty blocks. Haven't tried recently though. PNG's file sizes are pretty big

just double checked it. Fine in Mozilla, big grey box in IE 6 if you place them in HTML.

had the same problem last week, ended up using .gifs but without the detail I wanted. Don't know the solution, sorry

you need to set the transparency in the style of the image:
