gradiate I know about ten to twelve words but I still prefer fuck, I think a well placed swear word works wonders.
- gradiate0
Yeah fuck's good but then it has to be used in conjuction just not on its own. What other gold james? this year?

I agree with Chossy - how can the liberal use of the word cock / fuck / etc be a bad thing?
Swearing is so versatile and makes us sound elegant.

There was an installation that floated up a river... can't remember where... but as it went past different landmarks the images on the outside of it changed to match.

Since when has nt been a forum for suits to use big words and be wankers? think my use of the word cock was pretty to-the-point and stopped me wasting a load of words which would have basically expressed the same feeling. Also, letter-writing is a fading form of communication amongst most of today's youth (email/text/messenger etc), therefore 'age' does have a lot to do with posting letters & using stamps. One more thing – and I quote "There's nothing wrong with the stamps as such, they are OK" – !!!! Safe to say they are probably better than anything you or I will do in our lifetime.

right now youve fucked me off, suit? what the fuck is that? NT showing its true colours. learn to cunting read and you will see I said swearing in conjuction with other words was preferable fucknut. Letter writing? stamps? really concentating on the argument there arent you wankboy. As for beating those stamps one day speak for yourself mate, i fucking hope i beat them otherwise im coming to find you for cursing me you cock.

i think it's not a bad idea. Let people design their own stamps, i reckon? (pics are very small)..if this will make more people buy the stamps and actually use it in the intended way then i say it's a successfull piece of design.
anyway, i should check out the others as well..

best of a bad bunch I recon, I do like the brain papers. Not too keen on the calendars thingy with the carney type on it.
- skt0
I also like the stamps - its a good original idea allowing the user to interact with the designs - judged from an end users point of view I'd say they were a success.
Favourite out of the winners has to be the VW superman though.

Dave Warburton pad by the chase is a lovely idea!

personally, out of the lot of them, those stamps deserved to win by a mile. The others were pretty, but basically just good examples of layout, colour scheming and various standards of typography. How the hell did the spiritualized and the dave clarke stuff get nominated when there's a million other sleeves that look just the same? black on black, UV varnish, loads of white space and nice minimal photographs? bizarre.
- gradiate0
Because no one pays to enter anymore. Yeah thats not the best group is it and that in my own way was what i was trying to highlight. the dave warburton thing is great they just have it really badly shot.
- gsd0
it's a joke you have to pay to enter awards - there should be an independent union of some sort with their own award - put to the vote of the "civvies" of the design industry - take out ads in creative magazines, on the web etc. and call for entries - anyone can enter free of charge blah blah blah

good luck. i'm not your excuse when you fail though. That'll be your lack of 'talent', that thing the stamp folk've got.
- chossy0
You guys better keep the mud slinging going as it is totally breaking up an otherwise dry day.
