Hello all you illustrator gurus
Am after some very important help from you all I need to produce some illustration like jason brooks
and would like to know if there are any tutorials out there or if any of you like to provide me with your own knowledge on how you create them.
below is another example on what I needThanks Moo

The technical side of those illustrations are so basic.
There's unfortunatly no tutorial for talent. You have it or you dont.

I would just break it apart and do a rough outline and continue to refine it and add the color later. Neither of the illustrations seem all that complicated, just take your time and think it though.

Would you just start off from a photograph or would you draw it by hand, come on there must be someone out there in the world of design that can help???????
Thanks anyway for the inspiring words already provided

draw, scan, trace, color.
If you cant draw, it pretty much ends there.

there's no trick to illustrator, its pretty much just drawing. it allows you to smooth lines, and try over and over without an eraser, but you still have to be able to draw in order to get results like that... its not magic

Think "layers" and don't worry about colors in the beginning, but rather form and shapes. you can add color at the end.
start with a background.
Then, add elements as you go, using the pen tool. find object or photos of something you want to use and just trace it.
possibly start off with a basic pencil sketch too to get you going.

Like stevii said, that kind of illustrations you seem to be after isn't really something you find tutorials for. Pretty much talent based if you ask me.

something called a pen tool.

Why don't you write Jason Brooks and ask him?

there is a plug in that does all the work for you
you just type the name of an illustrator in it and it traces that style
pretty cool

Bezier tool tracing your/drawing/sketch or photo is the best. Try giving your own personality to the ilustration, Jason Brooks is one of too many who is using this style, clients are the ones too blame in some cases though. By yhe way, all those sarcastic responsers messing around with Moo could use their great creativity too find a way of shoving their tongue up their arse!

-----Moo, not to rain on your parade, but what it seems you are asking for is drawing lessons, these pictures have a certain style of drawing, an approach in shape and colour, this requires quite a lot of time and effort to master it so well that you can keep consistency in style throughout. The technical side of this is quite simple, it's the signature of the technique, the personal touch of the talented artist that makes it worth it. You better hire an artist for this or buy at large stock-agencies that have plenty of drawings in this particular style.
may i recommend creative agency UNIT? they can surely help you:
