I have no idea what it looks like mate!
I am goingto Thailand the day after boxing day for about 3 1/2 weeks...
The plans is...
Fly into Bangkok for a few days and then go somewhere that doesnt involve a flight where we can party for New Year - then after that, get a flight to Samui so that we can get the boat to Ko Pan Gang for the Full moon party and then after that off to Phuket and that area for about two weeks and then come home.
Just so you know what I like...
I am a northerner who lives in London. I go to Blackpool twice a year - which is great.
I have been to Benidorm and Magaluf etc when i was younger.
Benidorm was great, Magaluf was shit!
I went to Tenerife in 200o and I hated it!!
I went to Thailand last year for 12 days and spent it in Samui and Ko Pan Gang which was ok but all we did was drink and sit on the beach.
I would like this trip to be very different and actually do some sight seeing and take lots of pictures - the people I am going with are chilled but will want to party HARD (that sounds american)
So for my own sanity, I am trying to find something that will stimulate me - and Im not talking abouth the lady boys!
If you can suggest a better itinerary... please feel free
I appreciate your help
How bad can Pattaya be??
Cheers

buses from Bangkok are going anywhere man and they`re quite comfy, i can only recommend them (and bring a thick sheet to cover yourself, them thai drivers like to put the aircon to the max :/ )
go and drive to the south. visit the small cities/villages by the sea.
Krabi, Ao Nang, Ko Lanta, PhiPhi, Samui.. you name it.

I hear Samui is 12-16 hours on the bus in which case I would fly.
The idea being that we spend a couple of nights in Bangkok when we get there and then go somewhere lively for New Year.
Pattaya looks like a shit tip
How far is Krabi from Bangkok??

you could get the train and stop somewhere half way down (or even get a cab, its cheap as fuck), then continue to Chumpon and get a boat to ko Tao and then Ko Pan ngan or Samui
