Neither represent "Single person business managment co." to me, way too "fun."
Questions:
Whats the significance of the bee?
What kind of businesses to they manage?
What does "business management" mean to them?
- devaur0
agree with caseyc

#1 looks like "meje"

i don't want to sound like a prick, but i think you need to make 10 more logos at least
- MX_OnD0
^ what grayhood said but I like 1 more.

both are terrible.
when i think of a logo, i think of BP or GE, not a happy bumble bee.
I know that clients get off on the weakest stuff, so I feel sorry for you if they are forcing your hand. Also, yellow prints awfully on white paper.
the first time you print a biz card with that on it you will realize that.TR1

An individual worker that is efficent, hard working, can go away and work effectively in a team, yadda, yadda.
She is unsure of what kind a of management yet, she has mentioned supply management, project management, team building, process management.
She is keen on a friendly and close relationship that would develop over time with her clients. Directing and organising projects that are cost effective and thought through from start to finish.
Do you not like the idea or the execution?
- Dancer0
I gave her a choice of and she went for this, I think it is because of the slightly different approach I took.
Ok thanks,

mate fuck what these people say...
It's not a classic but it is a solid piece of work... Go with what the client likes... If you spend half the day getting the opinions of designers you'll wont know your arse from your elbow.
I like it, the only critiism is making Mojo a bit more readable, other than that...
- slag_you_off0
and as a side... I thought the ones you posted a couple of days a go were better
- heavyt0
but seriously,
is there any instance where yellow prints well on white??
if so, i have never seen it.
too many people look at a logo and dont see the big picture, like how it translates to other media.
you gotta think that this has to print in b&W for faxes, and has to fit on an envelope and biz card, etc...
Obviously, clients are nto going to consider this stuff , so you gotta help them out a little if you care.
personally, i would start with the bee and work from there.
that is the unique quality of this ID.
good luck

crumple it up and start again...if you handed a client a turd with a drop shadow and a bevel they would love it. doesn't mean it looks good.
peace.

the idea's not too bad after explanation, but you can't explain it once it's done. try using something more related to the organization of the worker bee, the hive, the geometric perfection found in nature, the structure. interesting idea, wrong imagery. too loose. it looks like those bee's that fly mindlessly from flower to flower. keep beating it it up wth some sketches.
- function820
good ideas, but a few problems
1 is nice, but the fonts dont really work together nicely.
2 is very bland
the bee is good, but it has the potential to look off at any other size, i would try to stylize the bee a bit so that its not all 1px thick lines
all in all, most of the elements are good, they just don't go together very well

Thanks for the opinions people, I have had a kip and now I am back in work so no more working on it till later.
Elbow, surely the clients opinion matters and she liked the bee above all of them, I agree it needs work but I do not design to make things look pretty but to communicate.
If you have not gathered yet the single person co. is female, hence the delicate and friendly approach.
yellow being printed...hmmm.
I had not thought of that I will look into it as it would be a fundimental colour - perhaps add 20% magenta..?Your comments are well received and noted.
Oh and Slag was talking about this (my first incarnation)
thanks all,
* mumbles – must develop more business-like look.....yellow.....daisy chaser.....hmmmm
- Elfangio0
Dont like them also...too much "cartoon" I would work out that bee with only one color btw bee's are so used already...
good luck
