Organized crime, it exists everywhere on some level. Pure human nature.

scarier than a donny darko rabbit

I am so sick of Reality TV. Is it ever going to die?
- fingercore0
Organized crime is definitely not human nature. It's a product of environment.
- JazX0
Crime is totally 100% human nature. Take whatever you want at the time you want it, regardless of social boundaries.
- fingercore0
Human nature implies that we are born with an intrinsic characteristic. This means that humans are naturally born bad. Or good. I don't think this is true. I think we aren't born good OR bad, but we develop those traits.
- JazX0
Chaos is abound and humans also push it. I think we are born bad.
- JazX0
although I see your point on a certain level as Mother Nature hands out brains, for example, to whomever she wants.
- fingercore0
Please explain? How are we born bad?
- JazX0
well depending on how you look at it. I can see your point. If humans are intrinsically evil, then they do good things only for personal gain, and they do evil things as a response to their lack of such. However, I personally think they we have a trait that keeps us from doing good all of the time. Yes, society might have some influence, but I think it goes deeper than that.
- fingercore0
I think notions of good and evil are all relative. I would say our society encourages greediness. A high value is placed on wealth and the American Dream and the pursuit of all that, etc, etc, etc.
A lot of the organized crime in America came about during the early 1900s in the ghettos of New York and Chicago as a reaction to the poverty those people were facing. That same crime would not have resulted in suburban and prosperous environments.
- JazX0
it results today, from greed which we have set deeply in our psyche. even when we have too much. there is always that greed and lust for something. I think that we have set in us from the get-go.

not true... look at primitive cultures, it is a learned behavior
- fingercore0
There are lots of tribal cultures, far removed from industrialized nations, that don't seem to share the same mentality about greed that we do.
- JazX0
yeah primitive cultures, they used to murder each other too, depends on what we look at as being right or wrong I guess...?
