tipping point... i'm digging it.
Dave Chapelle is probably the world's greatest hype man since ODB.

- aliendn0
i think im talking about chris rock...i didnt like the politics album much though, but i understand what he was trying to do, prince paul rules.
- mike_g0
Did you see the Prince Paul show in Toronto? It was wicked.
- aliendn0
that is one of my biggest regrets, not being able to catch him, it must have been sweet. did u hear that psychoanalysis album?
- mike_g0
Yeah, I actually found it on vinyl (used!) for like 10 bucks a couple years ago. And I'd never had any "right" occasion to play it out somewhere, but I was trying to clear out the bar on Wednesday at like 3 in the morning so I just played side a in it's entirety, did the trick.

that 'dont say nothing' track is quite a change from the traditional roots sound
love how he mumbles the chorus tho, dig it

I got the roots album. Pretty fast paced and jazzy. Its a dope album only 11 tracks. I hope theres some good stuff in the booklet. This is gettin a purchase.
- kpl0
see, funny thing was i was thinking they are not even close to being jazzy anymore. They've turned into an rhythm/rock/hip-hop jam band. They're way more in line with Ben Harper and Cody Chestnutt.
not that it's bad. listen to do you want more enough times and it starts to sound like Manhattan Transfer.
Wish Ben Kinney stayed... they could use a good guitarist.

and i agree, don't say nuttin is ill, the mumblin is sick.
- Neuarmy0
why (whats goin' on?) has a edie brickell feel to it, right?
- Point50
It's all about Black thought rhymin' with "banana cognac biotch"
- Hizzle0
Prince Paul in TO was dope. Crowd was drunk as f*ck.
Tipping Point is rad, and Chapelle is the ODB's coherent brother.
"you gotta diversify your funds nigga!"
