Do you have to be stand for or like the company you work for, to work there?
ie. if I don't like the sheep-like audience and reps who watch and broadcast MTV. Does that mean I shouldn't design there?
- MIJA0
I think having a certain of level of contempt for the audience or client helps.
creates good tension.

whaaaaaaaat?

liking your job isnt necessary, work to live, don't live to work.
- monkeyshine0
do you like the work you do?
- scarabin0
i disagree with mrdobolina.
if you have to do something for 8 hours of your 12 hours of day, you better fucking like it.
seems like the most basic requirement.
who wants to live almost all of their life doing something they don't want to?
that's not living your life.
- blackspade0
you gotta be passionate about your work and the projects you are working on
no doubt about it

that's all well and good, but like contemorary notions of romantic love, "liking" your job is a brand new idea.
for millions of years people have worked (hunted, farmed, slaved, sewn, whatever) not because they were passionate about it, but becasue they had to.
if you "like" your job. you're in the 99.999 th percetile. statistically speaking you're a fucking lottery winner...

i think there's a big difference between 'liking' your job and not hating it ?

Enter response: I love my job. But it is all based on your own opinion about it. If you don't want to like it you'll find evey reason possible to hate it. It is all in how you look at it. Change your attitude and your feelings will change.
- clint0
depends on the project really does it?
anything with strict boring corporate guideline makes me feel like sleeping in and not bother at all.
most of the time i quite enjoy it though.
what about the people you work with?
if they're a funny bunch of weirdos with crazy music tastes, it makes the job much more fun, no matter what.

i like my job, there is so much work. lots of web & print. the company is growing like crazy.
i feel lucky. i know this cause i was laid off twice, outta work for 6 months before i landed it.but i think i'll only love my job when im writing my own checks. those designers here that have ventured on their own and are succeeding i envy. but the work they've put in to get there freaks me out. maybe one day..

my mate just sold his creative/design company.
the bastard won't have to work for a while and will just create 'art',
whatever that means.i hate him!
; )

Q: "Love Your Job?"
A: "Yes"
- scarabin0

like all things its up and down. A while ago i was getting a bit pissed off with work, then i went out to meet a client and spent a few hours in their working environment.
i nearly kissed the ground when i got back to my office, and it put things in perspective. Happier since, and doing better work too.
