are there any online resources or tutorials explaining the Form tool in Acrobat?
I know the basics, but I am wondering how to control kerning and leading and all that.
Also, can a pdf form field use truetype and postscript fonts?thanks

can you even control kearning and leading in Acrobat? would you really want to? Is redoing the orginal file not an option?

p.s. didn't mean for that to sound snooty, just honestly curious.

I have a client who wants a pdf version of a letterhead I did. And they want to use it as a template. I am sure they just want to use it for screen and not for print.
So they just want to type a paragraph or two. It would be cool to have the font set there (Helvetica Neue Cond) with some subtle kerning and nice leading.

what version are you in? i see the ability to pick the font. I can play with it more after my lunch meeting.
btw, i'm using Acrobat 6 Pro

drag a text box with the form tool.
when the properties come up, choose appearance. that gives you a little help. Also, according to my Acrobat 5 Classroom in a Book, go to "Setting form field options" in Acrobat 5 online Help.
