An external javascript containing the HTML in document.writes would work pretty well also. This technique is great for cheap hosts that don't support any server technologies.

just a rename

do i need to just rename the pages .asp or .php, or do i have to do anything else to them (aside from SSI implementation)
- jevad0
no worries
just search on 'server side includes'
Your pages have to be .asp or .php mind...

ahhhhahahahaha muppet
i know it isn't CSS, but i was curious anyways.
is there a basic term for that SSI function that I could search for?
thank you greatly, by the way
- jevad0
thats not CSS you muppet - you want to add an SSI to the page - server side include - like say a text file that has all teh drop downs in it. Then you jsut add the SSI to all the pages you need it in and can update just the page that it points to...eg. dropdowns.txt

i don't understand how that would do it alone...
the situation:
i have a growing amount of these pull-downs across my site than need to have the same options (which are also growing)solution:
i'd like to be able to edit one file which would add options to all pull-downs
- jevad0
yes - give the option a class name

Anyone know if I can exclusively dictate the content (the selector options) of a pull-down menu via CSS?

THANK YOU!!!

how would this be done?
sorry

Define a class and apply that class to the text link.

I've got a document with a href style defined in the [HEAD].
I have one link that needs to be exempt; it needs #CC0000 instead of #000000.
How can I separate it from the general document style? I know this is a "look on Google" question, but I sorta need immediate help. Thanks!
