I want to learn a new software to get a new and better job- should I learn Quark or In Design?

InD

becoming like the Mac vs PC topic. Both are good. Many people use both although Quark still rules at the moment in terms of amount of users. However I feel that InDesign is the better app. But I use em both.

Learn ID/ master it. Quark is so easy who cares. just learn 'em both. It sthe same shit. Just ID has way more "designerly" tools.

I learned Photoshop and Illustrator really easily, but somehow Quark just stumps me - do you think In Design will be easier? If I go out for a new job- do you think they'll expect me to know Quark?

They'll figure if you know on, then it won't be too hard to learn the other

Sis you read what I just wrote?

If you were working for me a few months ago, i would have said Quark, but now I would say InDesign

Learn em BOTH for now if you're out looking for a job. The tide is shiftingb butknowing only one will be a big disadvantage. If you know one the other is easy to learn.

When i got my 1st job i told em I knew Quark but I only knew PS and Illy. Turned out fine. The only questions i asked were print prod. everything else I found in help menu

just learn em both... both are so easy to use you should be able to figure out the basics in less than an hour.
