I'm not a JayZ fan but I actually like that song... I'll probably forget its existence in a month or two.
But I still prefer that one, 1977.
The german version, that is.

"i've got 99 problems but a bitch aint one"
How fucking lame. Bullshit juvenile rap lyrics - the kidz love it.
I hate this sort of thing, it's not big and it's not clever.

mark romanek is a genius... he can make any singer/rapper or watever look good..

hm...I must say I like jay-z very much...the music is just great, especially with n.e.r.d.. sorry for that :P
- RekabEkim0
n.e.r.d. is creating some of the most influential music in hip-hop right now... like them or not they are on that next level shit no doubt...

"Bacdafucup da Onyx is here"
I'd rather cut my ears off and roll around in salt.
But seriously, is there any need for the hard-ass attitudes and gang related references? Bitch, ho, nigga, glock, nine, eat shit and die.

"...is there any need for the hard-ass attitudes and gang related references?"
that used to be my attitude as an european as well untill i ended up in a "bad" neighbourhood by accident once. and that was in sf which is very very mild compared to la or other major cities as i was told.
thing is, videoclips, mtv etc. create these stereotypes in your head, it almost becomes cartoonesque. you don't take it serious anymore, like it's all fake and being played. but being there opened my eyes though. it is real. it really excists. realized that i'm in such a better position over here in europe. that i have nothing to complain about. have a job, have an education, i'm not being shot at accidentely by a drive-by.
i'm not trying to sweet talk it but i think you have to walk in their shoes to know what it is really about before you make any judgement which is quite easy to do.
