could you be more specific?

really just depends on if you want to hook up an instrument and record it...cant do that with soundtrack....

I went with soundtrack-- it's only $199 with many gigs of loops, and it's easy, even for a musical moron like me

sorry for my vague question!!
My mate has garageband and looks a good laugh.
I get the 'impression' that soundtrack basically lets you put music to you video - ie compose the music to the video rather than importing a track - but cant you do that in logic??
The fact that garage band is only 40 quid for ilife suggets there must be a catch??
Hope that helps

soundtrack == more loops and samples...but you can get the "jam expansion pack" for garageband that adds a bunch of more loops for $99....
yes you compose the music with soundtrack....

Basically, I can make the track , import it into pro tools and become famous and sack this design shite - COME ON!!

I have garageband and I have been impressed with what it can do.
Neither of them compare to LOGIC!! They are for people who either have no time to actually play with Logic or beginners.
