Yeah, I am working off of 2 hours of sleep. I am sorry for the misleading Weekly Standard description. I meant to type conservative, not liberal. I was trying to provide a source of reference, and it was like 6 in the morning and I was dead tired working on a project and not thinking straight. Sorry to mislead anyone and sorry to have tuned this thread into a giant shit show.
We all have different opinions, I respect and admire that. I just take offense to those that propagate their opinions as fact.

well put kOna

ha ha tfs, I'm only pulling your leg. Im saying that as an (ex) bmx bandit who grew up surrounded by skaters.
anywayz what kind of gloves - the ones that protect your old man wrists when you slam over and over again. ;O
- the-dude0
read dude where's my car and listeninged to him talking about stupid white men.
He's used to censorship. If it wasn't for the librarians (yes librarians) stupid white men would never have been published at all
you american people owe it to the world to kick out bush and we'll get rid of his poodle
- loudubs0
they are very entertaining "documentaries", but documentaries they are, not pure like Frederick Wiseman nor overtly fictionalized like Nick Broomfield nor stark and demanding like Errol Morris, but a synthesis of styles...
- tfsmag0
lowimpakt:
you shouldn't have dissed skateboarding... now the gloves come off ;0
i think MM's movies should be regarded more as entertainment with a social message. like someone said earlier, even he doesn't refer to them as documentaries.

"I'm talking about enforcing the american way of life we have here. McDonalds on every corner, Wendy's, Starbucks and so on. Some cultures in the world have no desire to adopt that type of living, however media showcases them as horrific countries where human liberties are endangered."

So true.......
This morning I read my newspaper and i found out Wal-Mart is goonna try to conquer the european market. I got so fuckin pissed, I went to America 2 years ago and most disturbing were those shopping malls and shite... Corporations like wal-mart are fuckin up the landscape. They don't understand that the smaller countries in Europe don't have that massive amount of space, as in the US.
FAAACK....BTW, I love MM, He hates the US political environment and is fighting it with all he's got, He's a man with ideals (english word?).

e-wo, I won't go into discussion about Iraq and so on, I'm talking about enforcing the american way of life we have here. McDonalds on every corner, Wendy's, Starbucks and so on. Some cultures in the world have no desire to adopt that type of living, however media showcases them as horrific countries where human liberties are endangered. Do you see my point, and how everything seems hypocratic. A 200 year old nation without any well defined heritage enforces it's way of living onto other 1000 year old nations. They've existed before America and will probably exist after America if you know what I mean. And just a quick comment, the problem with Iraq is the sincerity and intentions behind "liberation", if it was really only that, I guess it could be positive, but we both know that's not the case.

i'm not going to involve myself in this thread since it's a neverending story really but nodh: fact correction about hitler. yes that's what he did later on but he started by telling people what they wanted to hear and that started from 1924 when he wrote mein kampf. and they really didn't want to hear the truth at all.
- e-wo0
i agree with a few of Michael's beliefs. i really disrespect the methods by which he tries to prove them to be correct.
his beliefs are about "exposing truths." but, if he put so much falsehood into his films so that truth is the apparent result...it counterbalances his objectives (for me). that's all. let him have his movie.
don't blame Disney too much for not wanting to work with him (though Disney is a bunch of dorks lately).

if cultural changes consist of removing a murdersome despot, the age of the nation shouldn't matter
nations 1 - 1,000 years old need help indescriminately in such a situation as was (and to a lesser extent, still is) going on in Iraq.
calling us hopeless is not going to spread the tolerance and intelligence you are looking for.
- Bozilla0
btw, my previous post..it does have some ties to Mr. Moore. He's actually trying to open people's minds and make them understand, among other things, what I mentioned in the previous post.
- Bozilla0
lowimpakt, you seem like a smart man. Don't discuss with them anymore because you can't make them understand why their views are wrong. They simply don't understand and they never will. They are hopeless. Guys, just make sure you bookmark all that shitt you call "facts" and proof and show it everywhere as a backup to your statements. You will be laughed at for sure.
I bet that none of you guys left US for more then 7 days to get wasted on your vacation. And you are discussing how wrong someone's views are and how Bush does a magnificent job on foreign policy and saving lives. You have no idea how other people live in other countries and what's good for them. It's the same with Bush, and he's a fucking president..This country has no culture and yet this government imposes cultural changes on a 1000 year old nations. LOL, just incredible.
- lowimpakt0
Id also like to extend my thanks to you. But I would suggest you get to know your sources better and at least display a modicum of understanding of the UN before you say it is corrupt.
I was looking forward to reading those pages on Moore now I can't really trust them because they are on your recommendation....
- e-wo0
johndiggity-
just letting you know that you're not alone in your ideologies (i'm sure you know that)
thanks for the MM links. saved me time from having to dig up my own. i hope i threw it all away somewhere
- lowimpakt0
oh and Johndiggity. I know the weekly stanard very well and for quite a while now - apparently the most influential paper in the white house. I have read it on many occasions and I also know who is behind it. hence the fact I know Kristol is the F+++ing chairman of the PNAC. Those nice people who were pushing for Iraq invasion a long long tyime ago. So don't try and tell me what to read..........
I do my research.
