Ha. That's great Nic! I'm actually looking at properties here in LA as well right now. Good luck!

thanks all...I couldn't sleep last night...kept waking up...so much money...argh...still...had to be done - I am done with renting and this will be our first home together for the wife and I..
Good luck in your hunt Chris! May it be stress and hassle free!

I've recently bought a house as well.
Prices in toronto are out of control, just bought a 2 bedroom bungalo at a bargain price of 300kwhat are prices like elsewhere?
- kodap0
heh, nice one gfro.
- nLHb0
hmm, you can buy a tiny one bedroom condo in calgary for a mere $150,000! what a rip.
- meok0
niko, an average 2 bedroom bungalo goes for around 130-150K in Montreal.

this place is in the mid $300's...3 bed 3 bath brand new townhouse with 2200 sq ft. That same spec in London would be double the price it is here so I figure we're on to a winner!
- Mimio0
Had no idea denver was so expensive.
- arench0
we just dropped $400 for a 3 bedroom in the Chicago suburbs.
we never could have afforded it if we didn't profit as well as we did on our first house.
equity is good.

Congrats!
San Diego prices are crazy!
We just sold our place we bought for 300 2 years ago and sold it in 3 days for nearly double.rest easy jevad you'll be glad to have that equity soon.
- jevad0
omg yeah - I can't believe I am 30 and this is my first house! No equity :(
You two had the right idea! Still I reckon if we'd have lived here instead of England the past few years we would ahve bought much sooner...it's jsut insane buying anything in London unless you want to live in a shoebox or suburbia...
- blueless0
crazy thing is, we did it with 0 down payment
- jevad0
wtf! how'd you pull that off!! I'm having to put 10% down!
- arench0
we only put 3% on our 1st house
- jevad0
shiiiitttt....
just put this up for friends and family...probably tempting fate by doing this but here are some decent pics of the place:
