Key Caps question

  i'm trying to make a symbol above an s
  the key cap is option shift t
  on mac os x
  but how do i get the s with this symbol above it?

  i've tried copying it from the web into e-mail, word, and textedit-
  none of those work. it just comes up as funny characters
  anyone?
