Can anyone think of some recent films with great graphic title sequences?

recent? i would say. kill bill, punch drunk love, elephant, catch me if you can and not so quite recent but still really good: seven. still lots of other good ones. these just come to my head first.

I know it's not a film but that HBO series six feet under has excelent titles.

I can't tell about elephant, all I remember are some vague forms on the screen, and an intense feeling of boredom ... but Pi and Requiem for a dream, Fight club, Matrix 3 (if they had to keep one thing in that shit, it would be the intro) had good graphics...

I did my degree project on this subject last year. Kyle Cooper was nice enough to have his intern send me all the sequences i needed (25) from 1955-2003
From Man with the Golden Arm to Seven
Saved my life.check out the 1996 version of Island of Dr Moreau and definitely visit...R/GA's site the champions of title design...though they do web now...their history section is choc-filled with goodies.
