It's been about seven years and as many versions since Macromedia acquired Flash. They STILL can't get a motion path tween to work. They reinvent the damn programming language every 18 months, but leave the designers and animators in the toilet with the same broken tools every time.
Nice work guys.

I'm with you. bro

that's true :(

yeah. I'm all for learning but sometimes I feel so doomed for not being constantly up to date with the ever changing javascript language.

Are you sure you're not just making the tween wrong?
There are methods and ways of doing everything the right way in Flash, including tweening.

I concur, it's a bitch.
But it's the limitations that force you to think laterally, innit (they probably do it on purpose!)

I can't find anything wrong with the motion tween.
What is wrong with it?

I think it's just that they think of Flash as a programming language now and have given up on the rest of us. Tweening on a path has always been a 50/50 proposition. I'm sure I'm not doing it wrong. I've been Flashing since version 2.

Here's the next thing Flash has done to me.
It corrupted one of my movie clips for absolutely no reasson. Now, I have to go back to an earlier version and lose 3 days of work. This is not the first time MX 2004 "Professional" has done this to me.
I feel like I'm using PowerPoint sometimes.
