Last I heard only about 17-20% of households have HBO, so I thought I post this message- tomorrow 4/11/04 Band of Brothers premieres on History channel, 9pm/8c.
there's a thread on 'band of brothers' here on NT if anyone want to read.

I've got the box set, it's incredible. Not seen the last three episodes though because of problems with dvd player.

i concur... BoB is some of the best "film" experience i've ever had... better yet.. buy the DVD set... it's worth every dollar if you enjoy the aspect of psychology of war etc. ... definitely better than Saving Private Ryan

that percentage of HBO peeps is really unfortunate. It's the only TV I watch. Six Feet Under, Sapranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Wire, etc.. brilliant acting and writing.

a good read as well

As a WWII historian I can safely say that BoB is as accurately acted and filmed as you are ever going to get. It is, on short, a fitting tribute to all those who fought.
Everybody needs to watch it - and the DVD set is worth every penny....

omg tonight's episode was...stunning...third time I have seen the series and it just gets better...I can't even imagine being under constant artillery like that...what they must have gone through...we owe so much to everyone that fought againstm the Axis in WWII

I thought the last episode when they take 'The Eagles Nest' was great. Not too over-cheeky either. Also where they paid tribute to the fight the everyday Germans put up was kinda' cool.

I love the series I just never like the way the US always make out the Americans were the only heroes....
- JazX0
no but they didn't in fact the last episode was like paying repect to even the enemy, all in real Deutsch and I believe they had an episode showing British fighters. Granted they only had 10 episodes right? 'The Eagle's Nest' was freaking either the real one or damn good replica, because it looks the same.

it was a movie about the story of easy company. not the whole war. saving private ryan and even the thin red line were also stories about parts of the war which happened to only be the american part. i'm sure if france or england or russia were to make a similar movie it would focus on thier involvement as well. hello!?!

I love the fact that the story makes you grow with the characters.
Then all of a sudden BAM! One of them dies horrifically.... and it's like... "damn man he was boy".
Deffinitely top notch film making. Buy the dvd set.
