i'm getting this pain that starts from my ring finger on my right hand up my forearm and to my elbow. is this something i should worry about or some dumb thing that happens once in a while?

is it the "clicker's cramp"?

i don't really click with my ring-finger but is it something common?

try doing warmup exercises before sitting down to compute

Common sense says that you should go to a doctor.
However, since you are seeking medical advice on a message board, my prognosis is that you've got 'economy class' syndrome in your arm, usually the result of repetitive 'long haul' masturbation.

seriously, it is a common problem to get a sore arm/ finger when at a computer. it can actually cause arthritis and other bad things.
you may want to check the angle of your keyboard, height of desk to chair ratio, things like that.
it happens to me when I click a lot. if you look at the ring finger it is kinda tweaked weird on a mouse.

any pain in the hands = masturbation jokes

I used to get really evil shoulder pain when using my desktop computer.. it's disappeared since I got my laptop. Have a look on Google for how to sit properly when at your puter, and maybe buy one of those wrist rests.
Masturbation may help strengthen this area.

i got it really bad sometimes but as always am to stubborn to go to a doctor. it feels like this pain is build up with tension. when i crack the finger its gone for a while.
taping the ringfinger to the middlefinger helps for me
