Need some advice.
I did a website for a client and i finished the site except for a two paragraph description of the company that the CEO was going to write, but almost 3 weeks has passed and still i have not recive this info, and i want to get paid of course and move on to another project, how should i handle this client?
I don't want to lose them being rude or anything since they'll need some updates and another stuff.

You won't appear to be rude unless you say something like 'oi cunt, give me that fucking 2 paragraph bit of bullshit prose you were going to write, I do need to eat you know..CUNT!'
I have always founf that in business, talking to people about money, etc is never a problem. Everyone understands that that is the field your playing on. Ask them if you can invoice them now, even though you havn't had the paragraph and see what that gets you

thanks Mr. T
any more advice..

only 3 weeks? I had to wait over 2 months for what was supposed to be a page that only turned out to be 4 lines of text that my 2 year old could have written!
I would say a simple email saying that it would be great that WE (always make it sound like their project and their idea) could get this project live...even make a white lie and say that if we get it by the 10th April we'll make it in time for Googles big monthly update.
Worked for me before

say exactly what you said to us.

Thanks TaraTara i'll do that, should i mail first and then call, or just call them first

I never hesitate when asking for money, especially in a freelance situation, because you don't have corp. funds to float the inconsistancy of your clients.

keep a clause in your contracts that says after 30 days of nonactivity you will bill for completed work. This way the client can drag their feet all they want, but still owe you for having things done so far
- enobrev0
and like pooch said, stay on top of your money. There is nothing mean in requesting money that is owed to you for services rendered. It's considered mean to hire someone and then leave them hanging for some bs text without payment

just send in the invoice and quit being such a puss. when they figure out that they forgot the CEO bio they'll send it to you.

tanks to all of you for your graeats coments...
yo lilbabyleg: it's not beeing just a puss, i'm kind of new at the freelancing, and I didn't want to fuck up with the client
