or... the new dark night returns complete with beer stained wife beater, trucker "fuck you" hat, mustache, torn jeans and work boots complete with 6 pack of bud in hand.
that thing looks like hillbilly trailer trash.
"SUNDAY SUNDAY, THE DARK NIGHT DRIVES HIS BIG MONSTER TRUCK... IN THE MUD!"
what a pile of shit.

They are referring to it as "The Tumbler" during production. I guess that can give some clues as to what it can do. It's also the first batmobile that can go faster than 40 mph (90mph according to rumors and stuff..). It's a real car, which is pretty cool.

Nothing beats the original Batmobile:

my friend who knows all about the history of batman said this when i told him it was ugly:
"It's Batman: Year One. Of course it's gonna look like that. The script calls it a military vehicle that Bruce Wayne bought and modified"

Speaking of Batmobiles...

I think it looks really good.
A friend of mine is working on the movie (he's working on the suit) told me that its basically some big army monster truck thing that Batman aquires through his 'Bruce Wayne connection'... (in the movie) the batmobile is built by the military R&D wing of Wayne Enterprises. This version is indeed a lot truer to the comics (from mid 80s-forward)... The story is indeed a 'Year One' scenario (in the comics he didn't have his wheels yet), and the look of it is inspired by the version that appeared the Dark Knight Returns series by Frank Miller.
i have spoken... my comics knowledge is unrivalled! ;)
