Ok, Im about to migrate to a more reliable hosting company, my site is about 50 megs, with cgi bin etc etc. what is the best way to do this?? Do I download the entire site through an ftp client and re-upload, or is there a away to trasfer from one host to the other directly.
thanks in advance

yea, i think you'll have to do it...dload, then upload...you only have 50mb anyway, shouldn't take long.
i could be wrong tho...

yup, you should bring it down.
then upload. dont trust the host you are leaving to get it right for you.

If you use CPanelX, i think there is an option that lets you compress all your files, including databases and everythin. dunno though, maybe worth checkin it out, IF u use CPanelX

You can ftp direct from server to server yourself, but thats usually something you do when you have GB's of data..with 50MB it's hardly an issue. (unless you are on dialup)
