Only like 80% finished, and no content, but I would like to hear what you think.

Griiiiiiiid. Griiiiiiiiiiiiid!

grid?
- carianoff0
yeah, so he used a grid?

"The greatest inspiration is born of desperation." Maybe it means something to you, but to your clients, not only is the meaning unclear, it generally has a kind of unfavorable connotation. But the overall layout scheme is solid. The contact info seems somewhat squished into the lower righthand area under the news; I would reserve that column for news alone and find another place for the contact info.

Yeah, that quote is filler until someone more creative than me thinks of something better.

The first thing I see the the body copy feels a little cramped. You have a nice clean column between the the two blocks then the ends just smoosh up to the end of the frame.
- carianoff0
On that same note the text in the “about us” section might feel better if it lined up with the top of the picture frame on the right. The spacing around the text and the picture may need to be consistent

It seems very much like a template site. Emotionless and the picture of people looking into the future. Not sure if I like it?
- dprevite0
We were thinking about having pictures of us randomly display where his face is. I kind of want to make him blink too, but I don't know if that would be weird.

He meant he should use a grid. It's got some awful symmetry and the type and style typically lends itself to something that is in order and lined up. Very little on here flows with each other let alone lines up in a layout view of it. I also agree it feels emotionless..... but eh... maybe thats it's concept? ;)

Why did you choose to use flash as your main navigation? It doesn't really do anything beyond html...
- bukka0
Add some space next to your body text, like your news, seems too close to edge and gives bad tension and thay picture of the guy freaks me out not very inviting. I like the background texture.

I like the style and the direction you're going. You're clearly talented, and it wouldn't take too much extra to make it a spectacular site.
Critical: Where's your brandmark on all of the secondary pages?
Might want to do something more creative with the three top left options (home, login, contact)...just a thought
I love the colors and the background texture. I think creative incorporation of images on secondary pages may just be the key, so try and do something special with them to make them feel more integrated into the page. For example, the one large image of the women on the About Us page is kind of just sitting there...massage it into the design for more dramatic presence.
Lookin' good though, keep it cookin!

Looks no different than a million other sites out there, nothing new...sorry.
- phatlee0
agree with North..... sorry!

I don't think it is grids you need o worry about... just margins... (unless it's just a bit skew on ie6 on xp)
a) there are too many type style/sizes going on.
b) the images and the background clash, you have smooth graphics with pixel-esque backdrop...
c)that thumbnail is not really showing anything...
d)do you need to repeat those links at the bottom, or are they just filler...
e)The 'smooth' images look awkward too... is that quote on the side of a coke can... and who are the 'suits' in the other picture.BUT... you have got all the right elements there just needs some ratifying and tweaking... too many things at odds with one another at the mo.
- atomica0
I gotta agree with north too, and reinforce the grid either way... visually alot of the elements of the site are dancing off on their own not being held down with each other..... it feels awkward visually. There's nothing being anchored to another respective element, might as well have everything a different color of the rainbow as it would be just as chaotic. imho.
- MR_T0
If there is an idea there, I can't see it. Having a moody head shot with some cantilevered type next to it, isn;t enough.
In terms of layout, gird is good, but as James says, the margins are all over the place. And agree with James on the typography.

hmmm..my thoughts
i don't know why, but i actually really, really like your logo. if you i had to pick one thing for you to work on, it'd be that. i think there's lots of potential in improving on the logo and incoporating it as a major visual theme of the site. sit down and spend a day tightening it up. that's the direction i would reccomend taking. i think it (logo) could be made into a really powerful image.
in terms of layout, i agree with everbody else. symmetry between the upper and lower portions of the site is nonexistant.

Yeah, I agree that it needs more work, and the flash nav is going to be replaced with html, earlier I was trying a couple of things in flash to make the nav less boring, but it just looked odd.
Thanks for all the feedback, will definetly help me work on it some more.
