It's good to hear that Coca Cola has to take their bottled (tap) water off the shelves.
http://www.sky.com/skynews/artic…
unfortunatley it will back on the shelves before we know it!
BUt not in the US for some reason....?

Fuck. I've been drinking shitloads of that
- jox0
Why would you buy water in a bottle anyway?
- mrdobolina0
Drink tap water, its good for your immune system.
- drzoom0
health issues ... haha, marketing issues more likely.
Since they had to admit that it was tap water no one would buy it.

Cheaper aswell!
Apparently London has the cleanest water in the country - but it is also the most filtered - the water goes through an average of 10 people before you drink it, unlike other cities where the average is 3
ummm... what a pleasent thought.
- waynepixel0
haha
We are a bunch of mug over here in the UK. We pay over the odds on most things compared to the rest of the European countries.
- cellgfx0
yeah, but to be fair - how the hell do you get water wrong? "Right. Two atoms of oxygen... One atom of hydrogen... Something missing... ah! Toxic additives!"
- Blofeldt0
Although Dansi is only tap water, you're paying for the convenience of being able to drink it when you're out in the street, on a train in the car. If you don't want to buy it then bottle up a flask of water and take it with you. I'm surprised that the water board haven't bottled their/our own water before.
- rasko40
there should be regular water sold in bottles at something like 5p or 10p a bottle, some govt initiative or something. Surely to have cheap water available is a human right or something, then if you want to pay extra for branded mineral water its up to you.
Why should I have to pay £1 for a small bottle of water before I get on the obscenely overheated tube in the summer?
- Blofeldt0
it'd probably have to be more than 10p, the cost of the plastic or carton, the petrol delivering it to the shop, the wages of the guy who drives the truck, the bottling plant all the workers, the designers who design the adverts or notices and the packaging, and the mark up the store makes for itself etc etc.
Put your water in a flask if you don't want to pay for it, it 'll save a bit of the planet as well as your pennies!

I second that motion.
I can see the headlines now:"Rasko for Mayor - he's the only fucker with a sensible idea"
I'll vote for ya!
- rasko40
I'm not talking about making another branded product, I'm talking about the right to have cheap water, I would expect it to be subsidised by the govt.
Do you not think you have a right to drink water at an uninflated 'added value' brand price? I'm not talking about mineral/spring water just plain ol' regliar water loike me lubber.
- Blofeldt0
it's convenience culture fellas, if you want convenience, you have to pay
- rasko40
you dont get it do you. Do you just accept everything because "thats the way it is"?
Why do I "HAVE" to pay, I'm talking about change.
- Blofeldt0
there used to be drinking fountains about but they get wrecked by idiots.
Again, i don't see the fuss in carrying your own water? If it's a hot day, why is it your right to be offered a subsidised product just because you can't be arsed to carry it from your home to your work?
- rasko40
yeah I love drinking warm water in the summer, its magic.
You think its ok to pay £1.05 for a 50cl bottle of evian in a train station.
- Blofeldt0
I think it's up to people to buy expensive water if they want.
Clean water is a human right I believe Free or subsidised ice cold clean water, in a bottle, wherever and whenever you want it isn't. It's like saying, "hey you, I want a bacon sandwich, with ketchup on white bread anywhere, anytime I want, but I don't want to pay because I'm a human and have to eat!"
Food is a human right, but exactly what kind of food, and exactly how you want it or where you want it isn't.And, if bottled water was subsidised, that'd mean we'd either have to pay higher water bills or higher council tax or something.
Buy a flask, that'll keep it cold Go on, you can get one's with Snoopy printed on them.
- rasko40
listen BLofeldt you stubborn fucker, you get me a Pac-Man roughneck flask and I'll end this thread hahah :)
In Thailand you can buy you're silly priced evian or whatever, but you can also buy the standard stuff in recycleable bottles for 5baht. thats what I'm talking about.
- Blofeldt0
I've got a roughneck Snoopy flask actually. An old one, without the spout. So when you tip it up it all sloshes all over you.
- rasko40
that could be handy, cos if you are out and about and you piss yourself you could use the flask, pretend to spill it all over yourself and thus 'camoflage' your piss stain.
thats what you use it for isn't it?
