not -that- great this yr.
--armory and scope kicked its ass. then again they're both done now, so it's the only big game in town.

It wasn't worth seeing? So there's nothing that's still around that you can recommend in its place?

I want to go! I saw Jeremy Blake listed as one of the artists and the first time I've been to NYC, I was so blown away by his art (at some gallery in Chelsea area).
What's on the 3rd floor that's cool?

I thought it was pretty good. I thought it was better than Scope and the Armory too. The Armory seemed particularly bad this year. Seems that the Germans have really done a number on photography. Everyone wants to be a Gursky or Struth. The party on the roof @ scope was fun...They were all three totally worth going to though. I also managed to see the John Waters show @ the new museum - totally worth a peek.

i think the third floor had a large amount of photography on it. i really liked the 3d installations with dumpsters w/ glass walls.
when i sleep, i see this ayrian blond adolescent w/ zips on his chin staring at me. he's allover that place.

It was awesome. A few things in particular knocked my socks off. I went home totally inspired.
. . . .
On another note, I also went home totally psyched because I saw one of the Hanson brothers on the subway coming back. Aw jeah...

i saw an argicle in details about them. they'd all hit puberty and each were photographed strategically to appeal to an older crowd.
one drank a beer
another had a rocks glass
another had a white russian and cigarette...it was quite amusing. which one did you see, brooke?
- brooke0
The oldest. (Hehe, I'm giddy at the thought.)

would you ever start a conversation w/ someone like that?
sober?
- brooke0
MmmBOP.
Of course. Why wouldn't I?
