I am trying to find a javascript that will detect if a browser has a pop up killer on it or accepts pop ups and if it does load this ( the site in a pop up) and if not go directly to the html page with-in the browser window.
Any ideas?

why not give the visitor both options to begin with? that way you don't scare away the people who don't like pop-ups.

don't think its possible. you can't interogate the browser itself to find out setting with js. you could maybe do it with vbscript.
you could open the window, then test to see if it exists, but this would give you the same result as if the user just closed the window down as soon as it pops up.
as i do.
as many people do.
so, thinking about it, don't use a site in a pop up window!

Why not use a button?
(The good popup killers don't kill user-requested popups)
