well, i really do like his "infinity" icon, but otherwise, he should just stick to andre the giant posters

i think he took the contest the wrong way. he treated it more like an aesthetical redesign rather than adding functionality etc.
- abstrakt0
err it's not a contest though right?

i kind of liked what Shepard did with the google site. the infinity symbol was a good idea. if you read his explanation, it has some merit. He wanted the user to actually have some emotional attachment to the google site instead of just seeing the plain white.
Screw you guys i'm going home.

i think only josh and ideo took it seriously and looked at it in the way a popular website for different levels of people (novice to experienced) could be improved upon. the other two are awful

Hmmm... What he did was horrible IMO.
Can someone explain what IDEO did?

I think regardless of what mr. fairey has to say, his "redesign" deosn't really address what he's talking bout
and ideo's design is part joke in the sense of putting a google button everywhere.....
putting google out of the computer, onto the couch

the google/ moebius strip thing sounds like some serious spicoli logic

in my opinion...
ideo's scenario was refreshing and clever in its practical possibility...and Jenny Holzer's was a fun and intelligent idea of revealing validity of content on the web...as well as appealing to our love for 'newstoday' or the 'chance of the everyday'...the other ones were horrible...joshua davis's solution was way too complicated and useless...who cares about where edward tuft lives...and if they do, why not just go directly to the whois database and search for yourself?....unnecessary options and features most commonly charaterized in programmers...and and Shep Fairey could never design something for a large audience...i like google the way it is...

ugly as it is google is google

if it ain't broke, don't fix it. google is perfect in my opinion.
