Taking apart a monitor

    I am working on this art project where i want to gut an old computer monitor and put a plant in it and make it look like the plants have taken over technology, anyway i have the monitor gutted. However i want to get the front glass screen off of the crt so i can put it back in front of the plant inside the gutted monitor. Has anyone done this before and knows how to do this? This is not dire need or in a rush. Thanks in advance for anyone that knows.

    I wouldn't recommend breaking the tube, it can be hazardous like Bo, Luke & Daisy.
