That looks like something you would buy at toys'r'us :)
I have a sony vaio with the 16" screen. Nice/fast enough for what I use it for.

I bought this one about a month ago:

Works awesome for any type of development aside from monster video and photoshop files. The built in wireless is nice too.

Dont even mess with any of those.

This is the fastest laptop out there with the best price.
Also Powernotebooks.com has the best support and service. This bad boy smokes
17" WXGA+ (1440 x 900) TFT Active Matrix w/ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 PRO w/128MB DDR
Hyper-Threading Intel Pentium® 4 Processor w/512k L2 Cache - 800MHz System Bus Speed
Integrated Web Cam (320x240)
Built-in TV Tuner w/Remote (NTSC)my only recomendation would be to upgrade to 1 gig of ram and bump the Hard drive up to a 7200 rpm one.
anyway.. for the price and what you get.. this thing will out perform most all.

When $ is no object...

Stand beat me to it ;D

detail had a better comment though.
cash can be no object.
thats why they stick a shiny emblem on it, like a rolls.

I run this, with an external 20 inch monitor.... works fine for me

Just to let you and stand know...
The go-l laptop is acctually the exact same as what i jsut posted. And mine is a whole lot cheaper. Go - l is buying Sager Computers and putting their name on them.
Also.. the Pu Ram is not included in the laptops.
So sorry to burst your bubble.. but Go-L laptops are just resellers ... Check out what i posted before nad you will see they are the same exact computer.... and Go-l is just overpricing them.
Also Powernotebooks.com has awesome support etc. I still dont trust Go L...All their laptops are Sager made ... just to let you know.. they are jsut a damn reseller
their desktops are not. but still

why do pc laptops have to be so ugly.

This 17 inch one isnt too bad.. check out the pics... its better than most

Just be careful with hype, the Hollywood is just a great marketing ploy for a product that already is around.
Just to let you know. There will be a new one of these upgraded 17" laptop by sager coming out in a the next month. If you go with the 2.8 ghz one.. you can get a kick ass machine for 2k. that will rival most desktops
- brundlefly0
yeah and if you upgrade the hard drive to 5400rpm or 7200 rpm, remember this will speed up processes like opening big billboard files etc.... but seriously affect battery life...
- Donvitoviti0
when you buy a machine like this.. most people will have it plugged in 99% of the time, and the other 1% they will be watching movie or something.
If you want power for graphics get this.. if you want a buisness class machine with battery life... change jobs and get a Centrino

17 inch is way to big for me, I prefer 15 inch around that size or 14.5.
- unknown0
I should mention its not for work and I do want centurino.

I guess I am in the one percentile.
I use my laptop on the go all the time, the battery life is very important to me.
