flash video sync

anybody have any sweet tips on making a 3 minute video sync.
so far, the thing drifts in and out after about 1 minute... not good!
we have a weird ratio 429x295 (for the grid) ..but I don't think that has a huge effect..since the other 1 minute video plays fine.
I have done embedded videos and loaded external flv files.
any flash video ninjas?

either start them ath the same time after loading:
movie1.play()
movie2.play()or if it's a stream [altough unusual for synch purposes]:
check = function(){
movie2._currentframe = movie1._currentframe
if(movie1._currentframe == movie1._totalframes-1){
clearInterval(synchLoop);
};
}synch= function(){
clearInterval(synchLoop);
synchLoop=setInterval(this, "check", 30);
}synch();

The audio to video sync? or separate FLV sync?

to clarify,
I'm simply loading a swf with an embedded video (video + audio)
this video was imported into flash from a perfectly synched quicktime running at the same fps as the flash movie

what version of flash are you using?

i know if you use the latest version of flash, macromedia says they have fixed the audio video sync problem. You will have to use a Progressive FLV file if I am not mistaken.....
I went through this and it is a bitch to fix but doable, but if you have the latest version you should be cool. check the link:

video in flash is bullcrap, unless you rely on the unpredictability it brings

cesar,
I have 2004 but am mainly using MX. I have also tried progressive flv file...it helped a tiny bit...but still lacks the tightness (client) needs....
I found the page with a google..but haven't fully explored it.
I'm just not sure flash is up to the task..tight sync ...high quality ... 3 minutes...those three things together don't sound good:)

tell me about it..even between OS..you have sporadic results...while authoring...arrrr
if only director were in the project scope from the start...this would have been a non-issue

why not keep it simple and import the movie frame by frame into flash (flash will auto import the entire movie) sounds like you can make it more difficult by all this programming and such
=(
