any idea where I can get the code to scale flash movie to browser?
I've checked flash kit and a couple other sites - but nothing so far.

just make your swf at 16x12 then put an fscommand("allowscale","true"); on your first frame next step equals tweeking som settings in dreamweaver or whatever your using...good luck

that's code for a flash standalone player only. doesn't work in an swf viewed with your browser.

instead of using width and height in absolute pixels use the 100% value. and that's done in the html where you've embedded the swf. and doing that without having borders check http://www.moock.org/

It's in the Publish settings in Flash isn't it?
- hellraising0
so the fscommand dosent matter eh?
and ive been typing it in all this tyme like a sucker
the 100% thing is on the money though

when it's just an html embedded swf than that doesn't work at all (the fullscreen fs command).

I currently have the 100%
setting in HTML - I thought there was a better way to do it through actionscript.Because with the setting in the HTML page your file distorts if the window is not at 100%.

onResize + addListener is where is at.

and how to build this http://www.derijn.nl in FlashMX is still a big question...

it doesn't get easier then this:
- 4cY0
stewart, i am no AS-hero but as I see that site is made dynamic through js.. in that case i believe it must be possible with MX..
have you checked the demo of the link to the component i just posted?
the elements follow (depending on your parameters which you can easily set with this) the resizing of the browser window, whilst still maintaining their dimensions.

stewart,
not sure if you noticed, but that site is all DHTML, no flash
- 4cY0
hehe... i believe stewart made that site..
he is just wondering how to get that effect in flash..
i remembered he asked it here a loooong time ago.

nifty js though.
