why I am unable to have crisp text
in my browser's after my switch to OSX?

go to system preferences -> appearance ...
change the setting at the bottom to 10 pt...(turn off text smoothing)

there is no appearance under finder
in safaris there is no place to turn off text smothing.

one reason why yet again flash is even slower on macs... sigh!

got a new dual 2ghz G5 at work, the thing plays flash faster than a lot of the PCs in the office.
faster than this 2ghz athlon!

once again, a legitimate thread gets turned towards mac vs. pc rubbish.

eh? guy said macs run flash slower than PC, which is true, unless someone shells out $3500 for a dual 2ghz G5, in which case flash runs just as well as most PCs.
it's not a "mac > pc" thing, it's more a "ridiculously expensive mac now runs flash just as well as most in inexpensive PCs" kind of thing.

Yeah, I saw it more as Macromedia sucks, then mac v pc.
