Typically whats the output needed to run something on TV when editing.
Any easy to use programs to accomplish this?
What about output for DVD films? Whats the ouput required.

If you mean you want to see what your project will look like on a television when your editing it, just make sure your graphics card has some sort of tv out.
With that you can hook up an external tv.
Most standard TV's (NTSC) run at 720x480. If your running PAL is somthing differnt, not sure.
If your going to be working with a dvd project, it depends on if you want a widescreen or full frame project.
