So I have recently aquired a job at a studio. One of the more ambitious projects i will be working on is a highly interactive flash game.
I think its a sweet idea, i just need to teach my self how to program a game in small progressive chunks.. anyone know of a good starting point for flash Games? other than "Go to actionscript.com or flashkit"...
Much thanks .

So you landed a job at a studio working on a highly interactive game...and you don't know where to start? Why did they hire you? Not that you are no good, but if you have to ask for a good starting point for a flash game that you got hired to work on...maybe they should have considered someone else. Are you coming up with concept? What kind of starting point are you looking for? Did they say 'Go out and create a highly interactive flash game!'?
Just curious. I don't mean you shouldn't look for inspiration, but a resource to teach you how to pogram a game in progressive chunks? Not sure I understand your question.
Perhaps a weekend crash course with these people will help.
Good luck with this chief.

Let me clarify.
I will be a member of a team colaborating on a game.
I want to have a firm understanding of the concepts involved and its understood that at the time i dont.
I was not hired specficly to do a game but that is one of the projects going on.
I am not looking for insparation but a starting pont, a few tutorials, discussions etc..

There are several books out there for programming Flash games. Friends of Ed have one but there are more. Find some on Amazon, read a chapter a night and try to stay ahead of the class!
Oh and Flash kit is quite good for sample files. Maybe if you're really nice to Unfittoprint he may help you with code if you get stuck. You can but ask.

I'd say ignore those flash games guides, look to something like http://www.orisinal.com do people really spend a lot of time on games sites that are trying to be big boys games? I'm not sure.
