please stop making web sites that fill my whole screen, have useless info as a design element, and have they're own navigation system I need to learn before I can browse.
As soon as a site does any of these. I close the window and write it off.

this will happen just as soon as motion designers stop using Kid A in reels ;)

"As soon as a site does any of these. I close the window and write it off. "

Have you ever seen the movie Big Lebowsky? Its a great movie, isnt it?
Now next time, try to watch it on network t.v..
Whats that? you dont like it?
What? because its sensored?
What? they cut scenes from the movie, just because some random guy, thinks it shouldnt be there?
So you rather watch it on dvd you say?Hey if you dont like sensorship, why are you sensoring?
Think about it.
You are one click away to make a choice, you dont like it? at the top of your window there is a cross symbol, click it.

Shone237...
Coming from someone who does video, I can see your point. But that is like saying, "Stop with all the Rock & D&B music in your reels. I don't want to see you all the crap that you can do on your own reel. Just show me what you have done. No one cares about the loud music and fast moving clips combined with all of the other stuff that wasn't even in the piece you are showing me. Your reels are confusing as I don't know what is a part of the client piece and a part of the reel."
When I start seeing video reels from motion graphic artists that are just a bunch of client pieces placed back to back on a time line with no attempt of presentation, I will start to consider the minimal approach to who we ad designers present ourselves. Even more as a webdesigner. Clients like the large window that pops up when the go to a website and is full of cool looking stuff. That is we why get hired.
=)
Shone... I am sorry but you are wrong in this case chief. Again, when you take a minimal approach with your reels and only show what you have done and don't try to fancy it up with duotone gradients & vector graphics that mean squat to the pieced in the reel, we will take your comment into consideration. Until then, nice work! I like the way you present your work in your reel!
=)
cheers!

wow, I did'nt realize how upset some outside opions would make you guys. Why do you take my opinion as a personal attack, are you so stuck on yourselves that anyone who dares question you is wrong.
and thanks for going out of your way to find my site and critic a 2 year old reel. your time wasted, not mine.
I have (almost)never contributed to this message board, lesson learned. next time i'll just go argue with a firehydrant.

- Bio0
mmmmmm. didn't see that comin'.
- shone2370
what backfired? I learned that people in this forum are on their own nuts too hard. I don't really care enough about these people.
freshmode is the only one who had an actual response (and I thank him.) The other responses were just people trying to sound funny or cool cause they know outside this forum they lost at life.
