on my old PC i used this program called SwiffPeg.. can you recommend a good program for MAC?
(my website has a "radio player" that streams flash files..)
danke.

you don't really want to ever do that though, that's a pretty bad conversion method in my book. Why not take .mp3's and put them into Flash itself. The again you might not have Flash you could check http://www.downloads.com and type in .mp3 to .swf. :)

Flash can stream MP3's without having to embed a mp3 into your fla file. which is much better for the user, becasue they dont have to load the entire mp3 to play it.

yes, learn.

Yes yes, stream them. Tutorial for sound here:
http://www.kennybellew.com/I made my first player from that tutorial and xml, check it, http://www.scottbiram.com in the sounds section.

thanks for the HELPFUL comment (mr_flaco).

is that sarcasm?

you can use an XML files whichi s quite easy to edit to do the things that these guys are talking about. There is also programs for Mac on that site as well. OK, just a break down. Audio format such as .wav/.mp3 work regardless of platform, so your golden either way. Just find a way to put them into Flash. You can start by lerning how to import audio file -> putting it in frame 1. etc. etc.

ps.
no sarcasm! i think sometimes people on this site make useless comments (i.e. "learn it"). i am not techy savy so i appreciate tips.

Use the Sound Object to load it dinamically. It's not that hard.
Check Kenny Bellew's tutorial:

I did this for a client recently...
http://www.mixart.com/clients/ko…streams an external MP3 - they just edit the HTML code to stream a different MP3 file.
