Right now I'm using Spamnet with Outlook Express.. Anyone else have success with this or other spam blockers? For some reason, the 'Penis Patch' ads always seem to get by. Damn you Penis Patch!

I've got spam assassin too.
It's a blast adding all the words you want filtered.I don't think I get any anymore actually.

we use a company called Postini
its mainly for larger clients, but it works like a charm, the great thing about it is that you point you MX records to their servers so they scan the mails on their servers and reduce the load on yours greatly.it also has great admin controls and stats reporting

I was disappointed when I found out that spammers trade their "unsubscribe" lists, and/or use unsubscribe lists as a verification method for adresses.
I'm so mad I want to come up with my own spam protection application. I will learn programming and develop it all on my own. I will even write the code in applescript if I have to.
My program will be so good, it will not only block spam, but it will never block clients' or friends' emails by mistake.
It will be of free distribution.
I'll let you know when it's ready.

been using spamnet for about 4 or 5 months now, and i love it. For the couple of extras, i use Spam Bayes.
I get about 20 - 50 spam messages a day (most of which spamnet catches, and a couple extras that spambayes catches) and i only actaully see about 2 a week.
Server side solutions worry me as i've lost important emails throug them in the past

i just installed span assasin last week and it seem to have no effect on my spam.
i only have one admin area for spam assasin which ask for blacklist and white list, if i remember correctly. what settings should i put in there?

our spam filters worked too good here...we have a nearest class thing on one of our sites and it always blocked penistone scunthorpe and obviously a place in Cornwall called Cock.
Outlook 2003 spam filter works quite well, you still get them mail but it automatically puts it in a spam box, not bad for MS
