i am starting to believe in nationwide healthcare.
if my wife would ever have a kid, it will cost me around $900 a month to start a family plan.
anyone else dealing with this. i work at a small company that can't afford a better plan (or so they say).
anyone shop for insurance themselves with any luck - or have any advice.

solution: move out of the states
anything that hands out services own by a private company will go up in prices when demand is high.
For example: if a river neer by floods your town, you will either see your insurance cost go sky high or they will revoke your insurance claims.

dude i hear you, just today i found out that my medication wasn't covered by my insurance, not covered? wtf????
why do i buy insurance?

Americans want universal health care but still we elect administrations who will NEVER do it. Tell people who agree with you to vote like they mean it next time. 87 billion would go along way in helping us get a single payer system.

Not sure what is reasonable to you, but I got Humana. Google it. I have a wife and child and it is not too bad. Just be sure to have emergency money on the side for any co-pays that come up. Hope this helps......

I have been without any healtcare since I graduated school back in march. I work for 2 different companies, I still have nothing. My morning job at a publising company where I work around 35+ hours a week doesnt have a plan yet and my night job doesnt allow it for part time workers. I am screwed.

my father passed away 2 years ago - at the age of 50.
My mother (51) retired to persue her dream job as a gardener and is doing well but has been on antidepressants - because of this no helathcare plans are accepting her application. Frustrating and saddening.

America is a great country to live in, you just can't get sick.
I have a wife and 2 kids. Blue Cross Blue Shield has been fairly reasonable with thier small business plans. Health insurance is still my biggest expense.

having lived in canada all my life I just can't fathom having to worry about something like healthcare. I'm very sympathetic to any american who has been screwed by the system. What a horrible combination being very sick, and not being able to afford treatment. It just seems absurd.

cesar - if you don't mind me asking - what are you paying for a family plan?
