I have a $50 chair that i now sit in 5 to 8 hours a day. It sucks, its uncomfortable and i want a new one.
What kind of chairs do you use at home or at work? And how much did you spend?

I want one of those ergonomic numbers that will ensure a hunchless life.

mine is that designer model - 'everyday a piece of stuffing falls out between my feet' type

I like those big leather chairs as all bad guys in the movies got. Perhaps you getting evil just sitting in them... and they are f*cking comfortable. Best thing you don't have to spend to much. Mine was about 120$.

i have the top half of one of those black office chairs you see at office furniture stores for like $140. Grabbed it about 5 years ago and the rolling legs (whole bottom half) broke off 4 months ago.
Have it on top of a steel record crate. Probably gonna be limping around with a hunch wihtin 2 years.

I use an aeron here at work and it makes my back ache like a bugger by the end of the day (looks ace though - the chair, not my back). I think you can get one of those lumbar bits to go accross the back bit for more support.
Might nick the bosses...

I use Aeron here at work, and my back thanks me everyday...
and you dont get hot , and no butt numb... its the best chair by far

there are multiple uses for the chairs!?

My boyfriend uses an Aeron chair at work, and I think he prays for the chair god to drop one in our apartment every single day. (We could just buy one, but we're pretty big on the whole hoping idea)
I've got a standard "I saw this at Office Depot, sat in it, and it was pretty comfortable" that ran me about $100. It's really not bad, but I tend to sit hunched over the computer and don't really take advantage of the things it can supposedly do for me.

oh yes. aeron.
scrounge around for used ones online (but remember, they come in several sizes).
i got two from a dying dotcom that was dumping their "assets" - $250 each and worth every discounted penny.
adjusts like a mofo and the mesh wards off swamp-ass.
if you're gonna spend 80% of your waking hours in it, why the hell would you fool around with a cheap foam slab?

The best thing about the Aeron is when you Rip one out there. It has a built in mesh filter.
well not really. but your chair doesnt smell like ass since it doesnt get trapped in the mesh.

yeah, but it's actually kind of a liability -- no foam to absorb the stink.
you definitely have to practice more gas retention in the aeron.
although you could hang a nice air freshener under there.
could be a new office accessory!
i smell a niche market... or wait, maybe that's just an ex-burrito...
