so, here is the deal:
i am making thiswebsite design in to a million (give or take a few) slices.
the next step is to put all of these little slices into tables.
anybody know of an easy way to automatically set up tables based on your slices from photoshop?is that possible?

fireworks mx is good at that.

if you are using slices in photoshop, you could use imageready. that is what it is for, no?

so is imageready (bundled with photoship).

yah, but i wouldn't use imageready to wipe my ass....
i tried using it once and immediately ran back to fireworks, besides you can open/edit psd files in fireworks if you need to. but use whatever you have readily available... I'm just stating my preference.

heavyt,
From what I am getting here, you are trying to turn your slices into tables? Or trying to place them into 1 table?
If you are trying to make them into a table to template that table, just use imageready. Save as html and it does it for you. If you just want the table it creates and none of the images, in the "slices" property pane, select, "no image" and their you go. It will use spacers to keep the correct size. Save as html and you should have your tables with no images.
If you are just trying to place that into another tabel besides what it will already create for you, just create another table in your html prog, and copy and paste the code imageready spits out and paste it into your table.
I hope that helps? Not really sure what you are trying to accomplish here. Email me if not, maybe I just don't understand.

Those of you who use the PS/ImageReady solution, do you ever find that you get small 1 or 2 pixel lines in the page on-line near certain slices?

Fireworks kicks. Export all your slices using the nested tables setting. quick and easy.

yeah photoshop guides are pretty inaccurate, I always notice slicing is one pixel off
better to build in PS and port to fireworks and do your guides in fireworks....
unless you don't mind making guides at 1600x and praying it works
