client asked me to do one.
i know its an html "page"
how do i send it to the client for sending it?
Do i just design the page with everything inside the folder?
and how does the client send it without it being an attachment?
and how much would you charge?
something simple...a few sentances, 3 images and the html
Thanks

you have to use absolute paths for all your images, hence they are called from the server. they're not actually attachments in the email.
If your client has Outlook Express, they can copy and paste the source code into a blank email.

Or if your client uses Outlook.
Once you have the html built and sitting on a server - they can go to the webpage and in the browser click Tools - Mail & News - Send Page. That is using IE - I don't know about other browsers.

I do a lot of these with the company I am with right now. Not all that fun, doesnt take much time. I cant ever get them to look how I want because they want it to look a certain (crappy) way.
I wouldnt reccomend using the send page option, that sends every file in a page as an attachment.
At our company we use a site called "Vertical Response" we buy credits from them and Input our HTML (with absolute links to pictures) and select our list and send it out.
You can do it from outlook, but its a pain in the arse and slow too.
Check out my site for some examples of some i've done.
Oh, and dont judge me on them. I dont like them much.

use netscape navigater composer. Build your page on a server, then view it in netscape whilst online, edit the page, copy and paste it directly into your e-mail message and send.

malediction, i can't find your examples. can you send me some links? thanks. I'm having trouble with a particular client. The font goes to hell, even though it's just verdana, and the background color changes to ultra-red!?!?! wtf

I code the page the same way I code a normal HTML page except that I use absolute links (as previously mentioned). Then I preview the page in the browser, select all (CTRL+A). Create a new email message with Outlook, make sure that HTML email is turned on, then paste into the body of the email. Should work every time.
