it was done by their in-house team...i believe its called the syndicate.

from my understanding is that the have a firm do alot of there design work, they do that so they get an outside perspective. That's what I was told anyway be someone who worked there.

and how BAD looking are their new board graphics...jeebus....

www.jdk.com has done a lot of their stuff but I think they are moving some design inhouse.

it's been that way for a while. They have nice gear. Always had it to be honest, a nice line each year since mid 90's.

The first couple boards I saw looked like trash.. but this one http://www.burton.com/Burton/gea… and a couple others are great.

I rode Jeff Brushie pipe boards in 1994. The I switched to Santa Cruz carver/race boards because I got really into flying down hills at high speeds. Pennsylvania doesn't see much powder so you get used to carving up ice. Much different than out west. :)

This is pretty nuts (probably not so interesting to people who don't ride) the board turns into some gigantic skis http://www.burton.com/Burton/gea… IF you have ever got stuck in the woods you can probably see the advantages to this.

7 Stiffness is the way to go BTW.

7 stiffness?...i don't know about that as a rule of thumb...not all companies rate their boards that way.
pick up the board...feel it, flex it, twist it...then decide, don't go by some insignificant number the company tags on the product.

yeah the split board is more for backcountry traversing. That's what it is mainly intended for.

i live right down the road from him in san diego. i play texas hold'em at his place all the time. super cool guy. the burton site was done by JDK and burton. they have been collaborating for like 10 years, so its always a joint venture.

i love the designs on the new cruzers. wish i could find more of this guys work, don't even know who he is.

the same artist did the customs back in 99. that was one time that i bought the board mainly for the graphics, but hell it was a custom so it still rocked.

F_18, who do have to know to get in that game. Deal me in...
- F_180

nice F_18... Brush is the man!
What's he up to these days?... still working in the industry?... spinning beats?
He was a major influence in my early days of shredding.
On that note... Blackcomb opened today... some nice pow turns... good opening day.

2cent...he was just kickin it for awhile. but this yeah his boys at butron tossed him a shitload of gear and he's getting back into the game. he's gonna be coaching in the pipe at mammoth for a while, then judging a big air contest in japan, then judging the X Games in january. so yeah, he's kinda picking up where he left off. such a rad guy too, he's always asking to see the design shit that i'm working on. and yeah he still spins, we had him doing a reggae freestyle wasted one night....funniest shit i've seen in a long time.
- MIJA0
I got the wife's familiy thing going on for Thanksgiving but I will get in touch for suire.
- auricom0
damn F_18, that's rad. like others have mentioned, he was quite an influence when i started to ride.
tell him i said thank you. so glad to hear he's still into things.
and to all you that are close to a resort that's open or about to.......i envy you. i gotsta get my ass out of Virginia and back to the mountains. my Burton Seven is needing some attention. shit, forgot i need new bindings.
- F_180
yeah MIJA, i figured you would be. but we try to play semi-consistently, so def. get in toufch for sure. its so funny to hang out with a guy that influenced you when you first were starting to ride. i even used to have his board, the one with the craps table as a graphic.
